A Tooth

I thought that maybe last week Danielle had her first tooth break through. She has been drooling for months, and I noticed that she was rubbing her tongue along her bottom gum. When I first felt, I was sure it was there, but then later on I couldn't feel it.

She has been sick this week, we have been passing around this icky cold/coughing thing. Emily and I had it...cough cough cough...all night long. So when Danielle started to get sick, I took her to the pediatrician. She said it was just a cold. She has been coughing, goopy green eyes, green snot, fever, runny nose. She is feeling a little better today.

I checked again for that tooth, thinking that maybe some of her symptoms were related to teething. All of the kids have gotten fever, and cold symptoms with teething. Sure enough, the first tooth has just emerged through her bottom gum. Daddy even verified that he could feel it too. This is also the earliest any of the kids have gotten teeth, she is not even 6 months old yet. I am sad, my baby is growing up too fast.

And now daddy is getting sick too! I think he may be a bigger baby when sick, than the babies.

Snow

We usually have a little bit of snow each year in Arkansas, and I can remember a few times when it has snowed in February before, but not quite this late in the season. But it started snowing about 5:00 pm, and within a couple of hours the houses and the lawns were covered in a blanket of white. Brian even noted that it was enough to make a snowball. It didn't last too long, and the sun came up bright and shiny the next morning and it was gone. I didn't get a chance to capture a picture. Short lived and beautiful, just how I like the snow.

School Is Out

Brian has a long weekend, no school today or Monday, so I planned to do some fun activities to keep them entertained. Today we went to the Discovery Museum. The kids had a good time exploring and learning.

Then we went to the $1 theatre with some friends and saw Madagascar 2: Escape From Africa. They movie was cute and the kids did really well. They sat quietly, ate a large popcorn (by themselves) with only minor incidences, and watched the entire movie. They are definitely growing up.
