Fripp Island

Our trip was uneventful. Our Garmin couldn't find the Chipotle in Birmingham that was off the freeway, so we had to go to the other one which was a little farther off the beaten path, but so worth it! The kids traveled pretty well and we arrived in Atlanta about midnight. Our hotel super nice 2, flat screens, and almost a separate bedroom. There was a large school group of kids that had taken over the hotel and getting breakfast was a little challenging, but we managed and hit the road about 9:30 am.

We made good time getting into Savannah, GA, only to realize that our Garmin was on Cental time, and now we were in the Eastern time zone. We found my mom at her hotel, and had lunch at The Pirate House. The fried chicken was awesome, and the kids menu was a fun souvenir.

We arrived on Fripp Island shortly after 4pm. We found our condo, got everything unpacked and settled, and then our first stop was the grocery store. My mom and I tackled that, while Eddie and the kids took the golf cart and went to check out the beach. As we drove away I could see Danielle was crying and didn't really care for the golf cart.

We were gone a couple of hours. The store is about 16 miles away. On our way back we saw the most gorgeous sunset, but we didn't have a camera. As we drove through the security gate onto Fripp, there were deer everywhere grazing on the side of the main road.

Back at the condo we unloaded the groceries and found a spot for everything. The kids had returned from their beach adventure. Eddie took some cute pictures with his Iphone. The big kids took right to the water and eventually Danielle warmed up enough to stick her feet in.

It was late and we had not eaten, so we made some hamburgers and headed up to bed.
